Sources & evidence
Drug labels, consensus statements and peer-reviewed papers — named, dated and scoped. Ranges are identified by their source and never blended into a new range. Doses are educational reference values: verify against a current formulary and your practice protocols.
FDA animal drug labels, EMA product information, and consensus or guideline documents (ACVIM hypertension 2018, ABCD feline herpesvirus guideline, ACVO/ECVO hereditary-eye schemes) are primary. Peer-reviewed papers support outcome statements — retrospective findings are taught as associations, never guarantees.
Drug and threshold tables show species, indication, route or test, value with unit, and frequency — with the source and year beside the table and a "verify against a current formulary" stamp. Region notes flag where labels differ (US, EU, UK; check local labeling in Hong Kong and Macau).
Books may be used for cross-checking only; every primary claim traces to a label, guideline or paper.
Clinical photographs enter the site only after license, caption and rights review, and each is credited in place with its source and license. AI-generated clinical images are never used as evidence. Diagrams are original schematics and labeled as such.
S.I.G.H.T. Sequence, R.E.D. Eye Route, B.L.I.N.D. Localizer, U.L.C.E.R. Triage, P.R.E.S.S. Sprint and D.R.O.P.S. Scheduler are original GlobalVet frameworks. Standard schemes (ACVIM risk categories, ABCD guidance, ACVO/ECVO schemes) are taught with attribution.
Labels change. Our numbers were checked in October 2026 and every one carries its check date; when a label moves, the lesson moves with it.
